Why are connections important? Let's face it, today we live in a world of corporate downsizing, where an individual moves every 3.5 years, where he or she will average 5 to 6 different jobs in one life time, where both parents work outside the home, and the list goes on. If you don't have connections you are not going to make it. At North Lanier Baptist Church connections begin in our small group ministry.
Life Study Groups meet Sundays at 8:30, 9:30, and 11 a.m. Our Life Study Groups are age-appropriate classes developed with you in mind. What does age-appropriate mean? That means we have a class just for you, a class where those in attendance are in the same stage in life as you are. You have connections with them. Your stage in life is the same as theirs, you have children the same age, you have teenagers the same age, you are empty-nesters, Senior Adults, etc. "Connections" happen so you can be encouraged to keep on, so that you can see how Jesus can help you "do life." Not only "do it," but do it victoriously.
Community Groups meets Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. offering a variety of classes designed to help you through life. Why do we do what we do through LSU? The Vision Statement of North Lanier is "That all may know and grow in Christ." LSU is designed to help grow in Christ and provides you with a "connecting point." What is a connecting point you say? A "connecting point" is one of at least three places in our ministry where "we can connect with others and help them connect with God." Through LSU "one can come to know and grow in Christ" because of the "connection" he will make with Him. Discipleship is about building relationships which encourage you in righteousness. Plan now to make it a priority to get "connected" with God. You will not regret it!
Life Support Groups are "connecting points" that help you through the tough times. Al-Anon is offered each Tuesday at 7 p.m. GriefShare is offered at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening.
