My First Visit
Help for Guests and Visitors

What times are the services? We have three morning services. Our 8:30 a.m. service is a bit more traditional (held in our Student Center), while our 11 a.m. service is a bit more contemporary (held in the Worship and Activities Center). They are both a good mixture and blend of music and worship styles, so come just as you are. There is another 11 a.m. service in Spanish held in our Student Center.

How do I get to the church? North Lanier Baptist Church is located at 829 Atlanta Highway, 1/2 mile south of the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 9 in Cumming, Georgia (exit 14 off of 400).

How do I dress? Some folks wear their "Sunday best" while others wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Sunday and Wednesday evenings are always casual. Don't worry about what you wear - just come expecting to be welcomed warmly into our worship services and Bible studies!

What do I bring? If you have a Bible, bring it with you. It will help you to follow along in worship and in Life Study Groups. If you don't have a Bible, don't worry, we have plenty! If you are a guest, don't worry about bringing an offering.

When do I need to arrive? On Sundays we have Worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. To allow plenty of time to reach the Worship Center, you should arrive ten to fifteen minutes prior to the worship or Bible study time. We also have small groups at 9:30 a.m. In order for us to help you find a class that best suits your needs, stop by the Welcome Desk and we'll help you find a class that fits for you. You may want to allow yourself ten additional minutes for this as well. If you have children, it also takes around five minutes to register your child with our Children's Department (safety is our top priority). Be sure to arrive with enough time to register each child and still have plenty of time.

Where do I park? You may park anywhere you wish, but we reserve plenty of parking for guests right by the main / front entrance. Handicap parking is also available in the upper parking lots. The lower parking lot is largely used by parents of preschoolers.

Where do my children go? North Lanier has an excellent preschool and childrens ministry. Greeters at the children's entrance as well as the Welcome Center just outside the Worship Center will assist you in getting your children to their classes or departments. The preschool and children's classes meet downstairs.

What about security? We take child security seriously. Each child in the preschool department will be registered before entering a Life Study Group class, and both you and your child will be assigned a security tag. The tag will be presented when picking up your child. Just plan on taking a few additional minutes when you first arrive to register your child in the Children's Department. This way, we know your children's allergies, needs and who will be picking up the child from his/her class. We want to take care of your family the same way you would.

What about my teenagers? Our youth always have a great time. There are small groups designed just for your teenager each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. They meet for large group in the Student Center and someone will help to make sure they find their group from there. Our teenagers also have fun on Wednesday nights as well. With inspiring worship, challenging messages and fun games, they are guaranteed to make lots of friends and want to come back!

How do I find a small group that fits me? All of our small groups take place at 9:30 a.m. Just go in the main Welcome Center area and the friendly folks at the Welcome Desk will be glad to help you find a class that fits you best. Perhaps you are coming with a spouse, or without, we have plenty of classes for men, women and even co-ed classes. It doesn't matter what age, or stage in life, you may be, we have a class for you! Don't be shy about visiting a class for the first time, our friendly folks will be sure to make you feel like family right away!
