We have the greatest group of ladies at our church. They are easy to get to know and we love to have fun!! But our greatest desire is to love and serve the Lord.
The scripture verse for the Women's Ministry is Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans for a future and a hope." We want all women to know this whether they are a part of North Lanier or not. We build our events to reflect this message and the Mission and Vision of North Lanier which is "to Love God completely and love others compassionately" and "That all may know and grow in Christ."
We consider all women of North Lanier to be a part of the Women's Ministry Team. Our women participate in whatever ways they can. Some our a part of the team that plans and coordinates events and programs. Others bring food, make phone calls, call on each other in a time of need, uplift and pray for each other and many other things. Some our a part of the team on a regular basis, some help out for one event and some help out when they can. Whatever you feel you can and want to participate, we would love to have you. Fellowship Team
The Fellowship Team coordinates the ladies get togethers. One of the goals of our team is to connect women so they can walk through life together. That is what we try to do, connect women. The fellowship team does event set up and coordination. Everything from sound system to singing to decorating. TeachingTeam
The Teaching Team coordinates bible studies and large teaching events. We try to have new bible studies on Wednesday nights or afternoons that begin in September and January each year as well as smaller ones spaced throughout. We also have two Sunday Morning classes. The team arranges for two large group teaching events a year. Usually a women's retreat and we like the Beth Moore Simulcasts. You do not have to teach to be a part of this team but you can. We are always looking for new facilitators and teachers. If this team interests you or you are interested in leading a class, please contact Karen Cleveland. She is the team leader at womensministry@northlanier.org.
Outreach/Evangelism Team
The Outreach/Evangelism Team focuses on reaching outside of our group of ladies at North Lanier and ministering to the community. We reach out in the love of Christ. We have a variety of things we do and we are always open for new ideas. Some of the things we do are the Jewish Tea in December, serving the women of Abba House, ministering to our elderly shut-ins, etc. We'd love for you to be a part of the team but even greater, come serve with us. Prayer Team The Prayer Team will commit to keeping the Women's Ministry in prayer and praying for women who have requested prayer. Please contact our Prayer Coordinator Mary Gegenheimer at mgegen3@yahoo.com.
Service Team
The Service Team ministers to the women of North Lanier. Whether it be to deliver food, make a phone call, send a card or visit a friend. We want to be here for each other in our times of need. If this sounds like something you enjoy doing, contact Karen Cleveland at womensministry@northlanier.org.
The Teams above are just a list of what we currently do to minister to women inside and outside of North Lanier. Of course, the church as a whole has a lot more going on. Check out the main home page for all the programs and activities. North Lanier is a great place to serve the Lord.
