This is an audition process to evaluate the heart and the skill needed to be a part of this team, and is in NO WAY intended to be anything otherwise. The auditions are closed to the public - the only persons inside are an evaluating team and the person auditioning.
We are encouraging those who have strong vocal/instrumental abilities that have a heart for worship to come. If you choose to audition, please understand that you are auditioning for the team and not necessarily a particular service. There are needs in all of our areas of service.
The audition process is as follows:
1) Please sign up for a time slot on this site - it breaks down into 15 minute increments
2) You will be notified per an email on the confirmation of your time slot
3) Pick up an audition packet from the Worship Pastor's office or at the Main Information Kiosk in the Welcome Center
a) The packet will consist of a CD with 2-3 songs for you to learn (choruses we normally sing in the Celebration services).
b) Information sheet
c) Question Sheet to be filled out before your audition time
4) Come 10 minutes early before your designated time
5) Come prepared to sing one song of your choice (outside the songs on the CD) - no more than 4 minutes - using CD accompaniment track only - please mark your CD as it will be returned to you following the audition. Instrumentalists will play with a track or keyboard player
6) You'll be interviewed by the Worship Pastor following the vocal audition - very laid back
7) Then that's it - you'll be notified of a return visit to meet with the Worship Pastor to go over your audition.
The follow up meeting for all those participating will be a notification if you've qualified for the team and information on placement. Decisions are based on ability, desire, spiritual maturity, and passion for truly leading worship (God's call for you to lead). Decisions are NOT personal and should not be construed as such. The bar of excellence is set and must maintain that status and get better as we go.
